After a year of hiatus, Beautiful Junk creative festival is back! Combining exhibition, design talks, workshops, creative showcase and portfolio review, including live graffiti and music performance, Beautiful Junk will open starting 15 June - 15 July 2012. Special launching and finale of Beautiful Junk will be on 23-25 June feature a special designers talks by JayLim of Tsubaki Studio & CutOut Magazine, Tintoy Chuo founder of Action Tintoy Studio, Julian ‘Lefty’ Kam, Comic Artist & Co-Founder of Gilamon, Chin Thye, Senior Art Director of Leo Burnett Malaysia, Luk of Fusionwave & Founder of Dweey, Lisa Lee of Liselle, Muid Latif, Behance Ambassador (Malaysia), Kenji Chai of Black Fryday, Michael Chuah of C2V & Co-Founder of Gilamon, and Tan Eng Huat of Marvel Comics & Co-Founder of Gilamon. A special portfolio review will also be conducted by Tan Eng Huat on the spot in Studio@Straits, Armenian Street on 23 & 24 June 2012 from 9.30am-3pm. There will also be a Behance Meetup at Studio@Straits, Armenian Street on the 23rd June.8 Indie Bands will be performing on 23 June starting at 4pm til late in The Canteen@ChinaHouse, Beach Street and they are the legendary Damn Dirty Apes, GAND, ‘3’, S.I.C.K, Coma, Double Click, After School Project and No Entry.A special workshop conducted by BibiChun on Graffiti, Julian ‘Lefty’ Kam on Comic Arts and Alexander Tarusha on his Pencil Brush will be conducted on 25 June 2012 from 10am til 3pm in Studio@Straits, Armenian Street. Admission is FREE, So come and join us!
